these are ugly
words
and don't tell
me that in my
cynicism
i have created
something
beautiful
because in
the light
of a computer
screen i have
managed to
waste hours
thinking of
the right words
to say
to think
to live by
to hate for
and there
is nothing
beautiful
about burning
minutes in the
bathroom
staring
at the person
that lives in
the mirror
until they are
ready to open
their eyes
and see you.

i would say: ugly
words for an
ugly heart
but i am too
apathetic
to even
try.
